Press Statement: Fire at Linwood Transfer Station

Fire at Linwood Transfer Station – Fire Brigade on site

This morning, a fire was reported at Linwood Transfer Station. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
is currently onsite and has the fire contained. All colleagues are safe and accounted for.  

The council-run Household Waste Recycling Centre next door to the site will be closed today as a precaution. At this time, there are no further details available as to the cause of the fire. 

We are thankful to the onsite team and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for their swift action.
